Fantasy Impact: Wicks possibly got injured during his last outing and there is no determination on if he will need a stint on the injured list. Hayden Wesneski will draw the start Sunday against Boston.

Fantasy Impact: Sewald reported feeling soreness after his recent appearance in Triple-A. He did not go ahead with his scheduled bullpen session Saturday. Fantasy managers should expect Sewald to not have a timetable assigned to anytime soon.

Fantasy Impact: Stephenson was removed as a precaution, per manager David Bell. It does not appear the issue will cause Stephenson to miss any time.

Fantasy Impact: Brash will travel to Dallas to get a second opinion on his right elbow. The team is obviously concerned and fantasy managers should expect the team to have Brash’s next steps outlined after his second opinion.

Fantasy Impact: Morel fell over the Cubs’ left field wild making a catch down the left field line. The fall did look serious initially, so it explains why the team took him out of the game as a precaution. He should be considered day-to-day for now.

Fantasy Impact: The move will mean that Casas will miss at least two months with a cartilage tear in his left ribcage. The move will free up a roster spot and a spot on the 40-man roster for Garrett Cooper, who should see the bulk of the playing time at first base.

Fantasy Impact: Estrada was removed from Wednesday’s game with hamstring tightness and did not play Friday. He appears to have avoided any serious injury and fantasy managers should feel comfortable returning him to their lineups.

Fantasy Impact: Cobb was removed from his throwing program after reporting soreness in his shoulder. The team still does not have a timetable for his return and will likely continue to monitor the veteran closely when he resumes a throwing program.

Fantasy Impact: Glasnow was removed in the seventh inning and was already approaching being removed with his pitch count. He did not appear to be in any serious pain and should be considered day-to-day for now.

Fantasy Impact: Lowe was originally set to be activated Saturday, but the injury to his right hamstring has set him back. The 26-year-old will undergo an MRI on Monday and the team should then be able to set a timetable for his return.

Fantasy Impact: Pivetta was able to throw 50 pitches in a live BP session on Saturday. Fantasy managers should expect the Red Sox to announce a timetable for Pivetta’s return after his rehab start.

Fantasy Impact: Cubs manager Craig Counsell did not state how many rehab starts Steele would need before the team felt comfortable activating him from the inured list. Fantasy managers should expect the team to outline a timeline after his first rehab outing.

Fantasy Impact: Hurt is dealing with right shoulder inflammation and the move to the 60-day IL will put him out until mid-June. The team added Nabil Crismatt to the 40-man roster in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Impact: Smith last pitched on Tuesday and struggled during that outing. The team has recalled Dedniel Nunez to provide depth in the bullpen.

Fantasy Impact: Bradish has completed three rehab starts and the Orioles have seen enough to add him back to the rotation. He should be slotted into the rotation next week.

Fantasy Impact: Poche is dealing with mid-back tightness. It is unclear how long he will be sidelined.


Pete Fairbanks’ MRI showed no structural damage to his arm. (Source: MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact: All of Fairbanks’ exams have come back clean, which is a great sign for fantasy managers and the Rays. Barring any other developments, he should avoid a lengthy absence and the team should provide a timeline for his return soon.

Fantasy Impact: Crawford was placed on the injured list on Thursday with an oblique strain. Dylan Moore should continue to primarily play at shortstop.
