Jordan Romano managed to notch a save despite allowing an earned run and three hits in his one inning of work as the Blue Jays topped the Phillies 5-3.

Fantasy Impact: This performance, while effective in preserving the win, highlighted some ongoing concerns with Romano's reliability. His ERA for the season now sits at an unsettling 4.70, paired with a WHIP of 1.43, which are hardly the elite numbers fantasy managers hope for from a closer. While his save tonight adds to a decent tally, his lack of strikeouts and high ERA in this outing are red flags. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on potential alternatives for saves, as Romano's grip on the closer role could loosen if these shaky performances continue.

Chris Bassitt delivered a solid performance in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact: He allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over 6.1 innings. This outing was a refreshing change for fantasy managers given Bassitt's rocky start to the season, marked by a 5.06 ERA and 1.55 WHIP over his first eight starts. His ability to limit the Phillies to just three hits and maintain a decent strikeout rate in this game could be a sign of stabilization. However, his season-long metrics, including a high BABIP and modest strikeout-to-walk ratio, suggest that while he might have upside, inconsistency could continue to plague his performances. Fantasy managers should remain cautious but hopeful that this start is a step in the right direction.

Alejandro Kirk is not in the Blue Jays lineup on Wednesday against the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact: Kirk picked up one hit in Tuesday's loss against Philadelphia. Danny Jansen is starting behind the plate in his absence.

Daulton Varsho is back in the Blue Jays lineup on Wednesday against the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact: Varsho is back in left field and hitting No. 2 in the lineup for Toronto. He is hitting .236 with six home runs so far this season.

Bo Bichette has been dropped to sixth in the Blue Jays batting ordering against Philadelphia on Wednesday. (Source: Keegan Matheson)

Fantasy Impact: Bichette was already dropped down in the batting order and is just 3-40 over his last 11 games. Fantasy managers with roster flexibility should consider benching Bichette until he breaks out of his slump.

Jose Berrios had a rough outing on Tuesday, allowing eight earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven over just 3.2 innings in the Blue Jays' 10-1 loss to the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact: This performance was a stark departure from Berrios' stellar month of April, as it nearly doubled his season ERA which still sits at a nice 2.85 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP. Despite a decent strikeout rate, his FIP and the number of hits allowed in this outing suggest potential underlying issues that could affect his reliability as a fantasy starter. Owners should monitor his next few starts closely for signs of rebound or further regression.

Fantasy Impact: Kiermaier is back in center field and hitting No. 9 in the lineup. Daulton Varsho is out after starting in center field on Sunday.

Ernie Clement is not in the Blue Jays lineup on Tuesday.

By Ari Koslow

Danny Jansen is in the Blue Jays lineup on Tuesday against the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact: Jansen did not start on Sunday, but he pinch-ran late in the game. He is serving as the Blue Jays designated hitter on Tuesday.

George Springer went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in the Blue Jays' 11-8 defeat to the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact: Despite managing to swipe a base, Springer's overall performance this season continues to be underwhelming, with a batting average lingering around the Mendoza line at .205. His strikeout rate remains a concern, as evidenced by his three strikeouts in this game, pushing his season total to 25. With only modest contributions in power and speed categories (3 HRs and 5 SBs), Springer's fantasy relevance is currently limited to deeper leagues or formats that heavily reward stolen bases. His low BABIP of .229 suggests some bad luck, but not enough to significantly alter his outlook unless he makes tangible adjustments at the plate.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI on Sunday against the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact: Guerrero hit his fifth career grand slam off MacKenzie Gore. He has collected a hit in eight straight games.

Kevin Gausman delivered a stellar performance on Saturday, holding the Nationals to zero earned runs over 5 1/3 innings while striking out eight.

Fantasy Impact: He allowed just three hits and two walks in the 6-3 win. This outing marks a significant step forward for Gausman, whose season ERA improved to 3.78 and WHIP to 1.29. His ability to maintain a high strikeout rate (8.4 K/9) and a solid strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.88) continues to make him a valuable asset in fantasy leagues. The improvement in his fielding independent pitching to 3.77 suggests that his underlying metrics are strong, and his performance should stabilize if he maintains this form. Fantasy managers should consider Gausman a reliable starting option, especially in matchups where his strikeout potential can be maximized.

Alek Manoah (shoulder) will start Sunday vs the Nationals. (Source: Keegan Matheson on X)

Fantasy Impact: Manoah will make his season debut after dealing with right shoulder inflammation since the start of the season. He looked great in his final rehab start, striking out 12 in six innings while throwing 92 pitches. Manoah will get a chance to re-establish himself as a regular member of the Blue Jays rotation in a friendly matchup Sunday vs the Nationals.

Yusei Kikuchi delivered a quality start, allowing just one earned run on six hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings in Friday's 9-3 loss to the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact: Despite his strong performance, Kikuchi's efforts did not translate into a win due to the Blue Jays' later collapse. His season ERA now sits impressively at 2.72, with a WHIP of 1.16, maintaining his status as a reliable fantasy option. His high strikeout rate (9.8 K/9) and excellent 4.78 strikeout-to-walk ratio continue to make him a valuable asset in fantasy leagues, especially in categories that reward strikeouts and ERA. Given his consistent performance this season, Kikuchi should remain a staple in fantasy rotations, although his win potential may be hampered by the team's inconsistent support.
